Full Job Description
You9ll be a core member of the passionate, energized Global Banking client activation and broader practice team, and will report to the Global Director of Client Acceleration.

You9ll be part of our global Banking team and be based in our Denver, CO office. Banking is one of the largest industry sectors in McKinsey. As a global leader in strategic consulting, the practice serves a broad spectrum of clients in the traditional and non-traditional financial industries. The practice is active in each of the major global Regions - Europe, EEMA, North America, Latin America, and Asia - where we serve a broad spectrum of clients in financial industries.

You will work with our North America (NA) Banking leader and the broader NA Banking leadership team. You will also work closely across our professional functions globally, including Client Capabilities, Finance, Professional Development, Reach & Engagement (R&E), Learning and Client Service Risk to activate our community.

As a thought partner with the most senior leadership team of the practice, you will shape and drive the agenda for NA Banking on client and priority client themes, linked to our distinctive capabilities. You will identify and radiate client priorities by understanding the client landscape, surfacing client needs, conducting competitive analysis, and understanding client feedback, and wins/losses.

You9ll co-shape and drive client activation initiatives alongside senior partner and partner leaders. You9ll activate client development by driving white & grey space identification and leading priority campaigns and initiatives, in close collaboration with our regions, subsectors and functions to drive action and results.

You9ll lean into our practice capabilities, R&E and people development initiatives, along with relevant professional colleagues and with a client activation lens in mind, to ensure client service success for the long term. You9ll ensure NA Banking has strong processes and infrastructure in place for client activation, including enabling easy access to a portfolio of client development resources, collateral and enduring assets, developed by our client capabilities team.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a consulting environment or strategic leadership position required
  • Industry knowledge of banking/financial services required
  • Proven leadership record in serving as a thought partner to senior leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly collaborative and expert at influencing broad sets of colleagues to achieve common goals; a great team player
  • Proven strong analytical, problem-solving skills - working on complex, sensitive, time-critical issues, quickly getting up to speed on unfamiliar topics
  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to work independently in a low structure environment, direct others and manage multiple people and projects simultaneously
  • A true self-starter with excellent project management skills and an appetite for creativity and innovation
