About the Role

The Senior Manager, Central Financial Planning and Analysis supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Research and Development and Global Medical. As a member of the Central Financial Planning and Analysis team, this role consolidates financial information and provides strategic thinking and consultation to support decisions with broad significance across multiple functions and therapeutic areas. The position brings together financial insights to help leaders understand performance, risks, opportunities, and planning priorities. With global scope and high visibility, the role supports collaboration across business areas and contributes to effective financial planning and informed decision-making. Success requires the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights while building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and working effectively across teams.

How You Will Contribute
• Lead financial consolidation for planning, analysis, and reporting across Research and Development and Global Medical.
• Manage budget reporting and planning cycles, coordinating financial information and supporting timely, accurate submissions.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities, including accrual calculations and journal entry preparation as needed.
• Develop and present financial insights to leadership, highlighting performance, key risks, and opportunities.
• Drive financial planning systems by supporting their development, training, and effective use.
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting for tax audits, deferred tax analysis, and system and tool implementations.
• Collaborate across teams to strengthen financial planning and support business needs.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of overall business or finance experience.
• Strong financial analysis capabilities, including experience with variance analysis, cost management, and valuation.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience or knowledge of core therapeutic areas.
• Experience consulting with senior stakeholders and building trusted working relationships with senior management.
• Advanced data visualization and presentation experience, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into concise summaries and presentations.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to analyze monthly financial results to inform business activities and projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including written, verbal, and presentation communication and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to set priorities and take ownership, develop effective workflows, and guide colleagues without a formal reporting relationship.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 - $215,270.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
