Full Job Description
The Business Operations Senior Manager is a senior member of InvestCloud's Global Business Operations (GBO) team, responsible for leading the cross-functional programs and operational disciplines that keep the business running with precision. This role owns the end-to-end processes behind Jira and Tempo, and delivery reporting, turning strategy into standardized, measurable, and repeatable operations across APL, Digital Wealth, and the broader organization. Partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Professional Services, Product, and Engineering, the Business Operations Senior Manager drives the initiatives that improve profitability, transparency, and operational excellence firm wide.

What does a great Senior Manager in Business Operations do?

A great Senior Manager in Business Operations is equal parts strategist, operator, and orchestrator. They translate business goals into clearly governed programs - with defined scope, milestones, owners, and metrics - and drive them from intake through delivery. They bring rigor to how work is scoped, measured, forecasted, and reported; they standardize processes that were once ad hoc; and they anticipate risks before they become issues. Trusted as a subject-matter expert and escalation point, they mentor others, influence stakeholders at every level, and make operational excellence the default across the firm. They are the key relationship managers to the executive leadership team and produce and present the processes, reporting and analysis used as the daily driver for running the business.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:
  • Lead cross-functional business operations programs and initiatives end-to-end - defining scope, governance, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics, and driving them from intake through delivery.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and playbooks that standardize and streamline the delivery of services in partnership with Professional Services, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Accounting.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, using data-driven insights to drive utilization, delivery, forecasting and provides leadership with strategic analysis and tools to manage their teams and forecast activities on a standard dashboard used across the firm.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, changes, and dependencies, evaluating and documenting trade-offs and escalating with recommended courses of action.
  • Lead change management and drive adoption of new processes, standards, and tools across teams and geographies.
  • Serve as a mentor, subject-matter expert, and point of escalation for the GBO team and the broader InvestCloud leadership team, coaching and cross-training to build a stronger, unified knowledge base.
  • Leverage Jira, Tempo, Salesforce, and AI tools such as Claude and Glean to automate operational workflows, streamline reporting, and improve efficiency and accuracy.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Program Management, Management Consulting, Business Transformation, or a related function, with demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives and leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills, comfortable presenting and interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Tempo, Microsoft Suite, and Power BI or equivalent operational and delivery tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence without direct authority in a matrixed (shared-resources) environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Experience within financial services, fintech, wealth management, SaaS, or another complex technology-enabled environment preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, Tempo, Power BI, and Confluence, including reporting and administration.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, or JQL) to inform operational decisions.
  • Experience using Claude or similar AI tools to accelerate operations, documentation, and reporting workflows.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location. Salary range: $140,000 - $175,000.
