Senior Manager, Business Development - Platform Partnerships

About the Role

EA is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Senior Manager, Business Development to help shape and grow our partnerships with leading gaming platforms. You will serve as the primary business interface between EA and a portfolio of first-party and emerging platform partners, driving initiatives that accelerate player acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth. You will hold partner relationships and lead negotiations spanning subscription, hardware bundle, co-marketing, and distribution deals, working closely with Finance, Legal, Studios, and Marketing. You will report to the Director of Strategic Platforms Partnership and work in a hybrid work model 3 days in office based in out of Redwood City, California or Geneva, Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
• Own strategic relationships with assigned 1st party and emerging platform partners, serving as EA's primary point of contact.
• Maintain a deep understanding of partner strategies, product roadmaps, business priorities, and evolving platform policies.
• Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnership opportunities that drive growth for EA and our partners.
• Lead business terms negotiations end-to-end from opportunity identification through contract execution for subscription programs, hardware bundles, co-marketing, digital merchandising, and distribution deals, partnering closely with Legal.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across Finance, Legal, Studios, Marketing, Publishing, and Partner Management to execute partnership initiatives and resolve issues.
• Coordinate launch readiness for new titles and live-service content with platform partners.
• Monitor partnership performance against KPIs; conduct post-launch/post-partnership reviews and maintain deal trackers and forecasts.
• Drive internal decision-making by balancing business opportunities with operational and business priorities.
• Prepare and deliver business reviews, executive updates, and strategic recommendations to EA leadership; represent EA at partner and industry engagements.
• Represent EA during executive meetings, industry events, and partner engagements.

Qualifications
• 7+ years in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Account Management, or Commercial Strategy, managing strategic commercial relationships in video games, entertainment, or digital commerce.
• Experience working across finance, legal, product, publishing, and marketing.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent experience.
• Track record leading complex negotiations and executing partnership agreements; experience negotiating contracts in partnership with Legal.
• Preferred: direct experience with platform partners such as Sony Interactive Entertainment, Nintendo, Microsoft, and familiarity with digital distribution and platform ecosystems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$153,700 - $233,600 USD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
