Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

Our client, a market-leading North American organization with operations across Canada and the United States, is looking to add a Senior Manager, AI to their growing technology leadership team.

This is a unique opportunity to build and lead an enterprise AI program at a pivotal stage in its evolution. The organization has already established executive sponsorship, secured investment, deployed initial AI solutions, and identified significant opportunities for future growth. What they need now is a leader who can bring these initiatives together into a cohesive strategy, define the roadmap, build the team, and drive enterprise-wide adoption.

You will have the opportunity to shape how AI is leveraged across the business, influence technology decisions at the highest levels of the organization, and build an AI function that delivers measurable value across multiple business units.

If you're excited by the idea of building something meaningful, influencing enterprise strategy, and leading AI transformation at scale, this role offers a rare opportunity to do exactly that.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Define and execute the organization's enterprise AI strategy, roadmap, and operating model, aligning investments and initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Lead the development and growth of an emerging AI practice, including AI engineers, product resources, and external delivery partners.
  • Partner closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technology teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI use cases.
  • Establish governance frameworks, best practices, and responsible AI standards to ensure scalable and sustainable adoption across the organization.
  • Drive AI literacy and adoption initiatives, helping business teams understand where and how AI can create meaningful value.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and tooling while making recommendations around architecture, build-versus-buy decisions, and long-term technology direction.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, from opportunity assessment and business case development through implementation, measurement, and optimization.
  • Build and mature an AI Centre of Excellence that promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and repeatable success across the enterprise.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to establish success metrics, measure business impact, and communicate progress, opportunities, and risks.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex AI concepts into practical business outcomes.
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, data, AI, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Proven experience building, delivering, or scaling AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Large Language Model (LLM) solutions within a production environment.
  • Demonstrated success developing technology strategies, roadmaps, or transformation programs and driving them from concept through execution.
  • Experience leading technical teams and influencing stakeholders across complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, enterprise AI platforms, and cloud-based AI services.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with business acumen, effectively connecting AI initiatives to measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to engage senior leaders, build consensus, and influence decision-making.
  • Experience navigating ambiguity, building new capabilities, and operating in environments where strategy and execution are evolving simultaneously.
  • A builder's mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering meaningful impact through technology.
Compensation Range: $175,000 - $215,000 + Bonus.
