Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Develop and execute data strategies aligned with transportation objectives, enabling scalable analytics solutions through cross-functional collaboration with operations, product, engineering, and tech teams; Defining architecture for database tables by working with stakeholders to identify data opportunities, translate these opportunities into business & product requirement documents; Identify data product requirements for database and product development by partnering with engineering and tech teams; Work on Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) strategy and data pipeline governance across engineering and product teams; Work on advanced analytics initiatives to optimize transportation cost and service across the network; Develop and manage reporting infrastructure using appropriate tools and technologies to support transportation analytics; Drive execution of business plans by identifying customer and operational needs and translating them into data-driven strategies; Apply exploratory data analysis and statistical techniques to uncover trends, validate hypotheses, and guide strategic decision-making; Ensure data quality and integrity through validation frameworks and governance practices to support reliable analytics and reporting; Design and implement efficient data processing workflows to ingest, clean, and transform structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources; Develop and maintain data related workflow automation processes in partnership with business stakeholders; Translate complex transportation data into strategic recommendations using descriptive and prescriptive analytics to support leadership in running initiatives and defining success paths; Ensure alignment across transportation functions and communicate strategic direction to key stakeholders; Facilitate project updates, risk assessments, and success tracking through structured communications and leadership readouts; Design and operationalize complex data models that support predictive, prescriptive, and real-time analytics across high-velocity business areas; Design solutions that fit local needs and can be leveraged across the region network; Execute multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; Develop and communicate business plans and prioritize removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; develop contingency plans; demonstrate adaptability and support continuous learning; Work on transformation initiatives by identifying and defining desired change and processes; validating value and priority; driving project plans to implement processes; assessing readiness for change; and ensuring timely execution from pilot to the execution stage.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 4 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: SQL Coding, including pulling data together from different tables to analyze impact of different variables on business processes and refine business strategies; Tableau and Power BI to transform raw data into interactive dashboard and visuals, convey strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership based on analysis results (trend chart, histogram, waterfall charts or other graphical analyses, hypothesis testing), anticipate future trends and make strategic recommendations, remove process bottlenecks; Python Scripting to develop extract, transform, load (ETL) processes and build scalable data pipelines, perform data cleansing and transformation, and automate data extraction; Automate reporting using Dataiku and Alteryx workflows, and data modeling, applying statistical techniques such as descriptive analytics, prescriptive analytics, causal analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, and other key techniques over data collected to uncover insights; Advanced Excel Analysis techniques such as Power Query, pivot tables, and dynamic arrays to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets; Exploratory Analysis to uncover patterns, detect anomalies, and validate assumptions using statistical and computational techniques; Data Quality Validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across systems to support reliable analytics and reporting; Design and implement efficient data processing workflows to ingest, clean, and transform structured and unstructured datasets; Defining architecture for database tables by working with stakeholders to identify data opportunities, translate these opportunities into business & product requirement documents; Designing and maintaining database tables to support data analytics and operations; scripting and automation to handle large-scale data operations across multiple sources and formats to ensure data is prepared and optimized for analysis, modeling, and reporting; communicating data Insights, including knowledge gained using different data analytics techniques such as descriptive analytics, prescriptive analytics, data visualization with the leadership, recommend strategy changes, redesign / define path forward to take initiatives to the success; and supply chain and retail operations. Rate of pay: $132,621 - 180,000.00/year.
