Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Project Scope: Owns complex projects end-to-end for a business area, category, or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Business Partnerships: Consults with senior leadership/ business partners (e.g., Sr. Directors/Directors) to understand overall goals/functional objectives, decipher key business challenges, identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success criteria. Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business. Contributes to business area strategic planning by providing input and actionable recommendations and solutions to senior leadership based on advanced research and analytical findings. Model Development: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for complex projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Proof of Concept and Prototype: Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for complex projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Evaluates new data analysis techniques to support prototype development. Collaborates with cross-functional partners (e.g., software engineering, category management) on prototypes and algorithms. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. Data Collection and Analysis: Leads the development and execution of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership based on analysis results. Collaborates across all analytics functions to develop and implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and analysis. Collaboration: Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for complex projects for a business area, category, or prototype. Collaborates and partners with external business partners and vendors. People Development: Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Statistics, Information Systems or related field plus 2 years of experience in data analytics; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Statistics, Information Systems or related field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: Python Programming - Data science, process automation, large-scale data manipulation, and custom scripting for business applications; SQL Programming (GCP BigQuery, SSMS) - Advanced SQL queries, CTEs, for data aggregation, transformation, and extraction from large datasets; Machine Learning Model Development - Building supervised/unsupervised models (ARIMA, Prophet, XGBoost) for forecasting, allocation, and scheduling; Data & Optimization Modeling - Designing statistical models to incorporate business strategies, and operational constraints; Scenario Modelling / What-If Analysis (Advanced Excel, VBA) - Creating long-term forecasts and budgetary models to support strategic decisions; Data Pipeline & Source Identification (Python) - Designing and automating ETL pipelines to load data from multiple sources into cloud databases; Model Evaluation & Tuning (MAPE, WMAPE) - Assessing forecast accuracy, optimizing hyperparameters, and improving model performance; Model Deployment & Monitoring - Deploying models to production, tracking results, and refining features based on performance feedback; Data Visualization (Matplotlib, Tableau, Python, Excel) - Building dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs, trends, and insights; Data Mining (Pandas, Scikit-learn, NumPy) - Deriving variables, analyzing correlations, and identifying patterns for informed decision-making. Rate of pay: $113,589.00 - 180,000.00/year
