Senior Manager, Accounting
St. Petersburg, FL (Hybrid)


This is a high-impact leadership role for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to drive both operational excellence and process improvement. Reporting to the VP Corporate Controller, you will lead critical aspects of the monthly close process, oversee a talented accounting team, support SOX compliance efforts, and help optimize accounting processes through automation and technology.

What You'll Do
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process for a significant business division
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal controls
• Serve as a key partner during internal and external audits
• Manage and develop a team that includes direct reports and shared services resources
• Drive accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement across the accounting function
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the efficiency and accuracy of the close cycle
• Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and business leaders to support organizational goals
• Take ownership of your area of responsibility and proactively drive issues through resolution

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Public company accounting experience
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred, ideally 5+ years
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Experience leading monthly close processes and managing accounting teams
  • SAP experience preferred; candidates with strong ERP expertise may also be considered
  • Proven ability to improve processes, streamline workflows, and leverage technology to increase efficiency
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
