The
Senior Maintenance Planner supports the Work Management department by developing detailed maintenance, repair, and testing plans to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment. This role plays a critical part in supporting Palisades' historic restart efforts by improving reliability, coordinating across teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, planning capabilities, and the ability to work in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Primary Responsibilities:- Develop detailed job plans for maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of plant equipment
- Create testing plans following maintenance, inspection, and repair activities
- Develop preventive maintenance plans to enhance equipment reliability and performance
- Conduct research, analyze drawings and specifications, and procure obsolete nuclear components and parts
- Identify equipment problems, defects, and failures impacting system integrity and reliability
- Support Engineering with testing, evaluations, and technical analysis
- Propose design changes to improve plant safety, efficiency, and performance
- Interface with regulatory agencies and industry representatives in support of plant operations
- Update work management and scheduling systems, including Asset Suite or similar tools
- Assist with post-work critiques and continuous improvement efforts
- Coordinate across departments to facilitate workflow and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Analyze alternatives and recommend solutions to operational and planning challenges
- Communicate technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ensure compliance with plant procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline strongly preferred
- 4+ years of experience in a nuclear power plant environment
- Strong technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and plant operations
- Ability to perform semi-technical calculations related to maintenance and plant systems
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and specifications
- Experience developing complex troubleshooting and repair plans for plant equipment
- Familiarity with work management systems such as Asset Suite preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to use required tools and equipment relevant to planning and maintenance functions
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams in a regulated environment
