  • Oversee strategic direction for utilities, infrastructure, and support areas
  • Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) efforts at the facility
  • Manage all environmental aspects, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Direct capital and expense projects while liaising with other project drivers
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Efficiently manage consumed energy and utilities including natural gas, electricity, and water.

Position Overview:

The Plant Engineer is responsible for leading the development and strategic direction for the facility maintenance team with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

The Plant Engineer will motivate others and affect change, manage multiple projects, and display proven ability to successful project facilitation.

  • Lead the development of strategic direction for the facility Engineering and Maintenance team.
  • Develop Leaders and Members to higher levels of success and responsibility thus creating readiness pipelines for your particular areas of responsibility including to source, hire, train and coach.
  • Lead efforts to develop and implement safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customer service programs throughout the functional areas you coach as well as act as a resource and ownership driver to the rest of the facility.
  • Lead the asset management program for the facility to include maximum utilization, replacement, upgrading, maintenance, and tracking.
  • Lead the strategic direction for all utilities, infrastructure, and support areas within the facility.
  • Lead the Process Safety Management (PSM) efforts for the facility.
  • Own the environmental realm for the facility in conjunction with leading continuous improvement efforts within this area.
  • Lead capital and expense driven projects within the facility as well as act as liaison to those other resources that may be driving projects that affect the facility.
  • Lead cross-functional teams comprised of various functional areas within the organization.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the use all consumed energy and utilities, including natural gas, electricity, water.


What we require:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of coaching and leadership experience in a team-based environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field Required.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills.
  • Experience in strategic planning processes.
  • Commitment to personal growth as well as the proven ability to develop those around you to higher levels of responsibility.
  • Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance (OSHA, FDA, EPA).
  • Working knowledge of MSOffice and AutoCAD.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
