JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary

Ensure that industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably. Obtain an intimate understanding of all production equipment assuring knowledge and replacement parts are available to repair when needed. Statistically measure machinery performance and plan scheduled maintenance on equipment to avoid unplanned down time. Develop a maintenance staff to minimize downtime and assure equipment productivity. Responsible for process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support for high volume OE production lines.

Essential Functions
• Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns diagnosing faults and repairing machinery.
• Train maintenance technicians to respond appropriately to equipment challenges.
• Implement preventative, predictive and autonomous maintenance programs.
• Create maintenance procedures.
• Manage replacement parts inventory.
• Operate as Manufacturing Engineering Team member in timely implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Assist in plant layout and design and in the purchase and installation of capital equipment.
• Launch new products and processes meeting delivery schedules and cost targets.
• Support Product Safety Management and execute activities defined in Quality Procedure Q-01-002.
• Partners with departmental leaders: HSE, Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Human Resources to achieve or exceed business goals.
• Evaluates departmental constraints and implements Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve capacities.
• Uses problem solving methods and innovation to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensures compliance with the plant policies and procedures including requirements for TS16949 and ISO14001.

Required Skills
• Strong maintenance troubleshooting skills.
• Expert knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls.
• Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability and desire to provide "hands on" floor support.
• Perform capability studies, DOEs, FMEAs, etc.
• A bias for action with dedication and commitment to achieving World Class performance.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Developed time management skills with a sense of urgency.

Required Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with engineering, maintenance and controls work within a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive/Truck industry experience is a plus.
• SAP experience a plus.

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance or related field is required.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification is preferred.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Bowling Green, KY is $89,900 - $134,900 per year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Bendix is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies.
