What you will do:
  • Represents Massport in complex litigation matters across courts, administrative bodies, and regulatory forums, exercising sound judgment whether Massport is a plaintiff or defendant.
  • Develops and recommends effective legal strategies across a broad range of substantive areas, balancing legal risk, precedent, and organizational priorities.
  • Manages a diverse and active caseload, collaborating closely with outside counsel and guiding matters through all stages of litigation.
  • Provides clear legal analysis and counsel to Massport staff, translating laws, case decisions, and regulatory developments into practical guidance that supports operations and policy decisions.

What you offer:
  • J.D. from accredited law school required.
  • Admission to Massachusetts Bar required.
  • 10+ years civil litigation experience preferred, including substantial trial and motion experience before state and federal courts, experience with all aspects of the discovery process and summary judgment process and experience in preparing dispositive motions and supporting memoranda.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in legal analysis, document drafting and negotiations.
