Job Description

Strategic driver who specializes in enhancing the overall effectiveness and performance of the organization through comprehensive planning and implementation of culture, change, and leadership initiatives. This multidisciplinary role combines human resources, business strategy and organizational behavior to drive sustainable growth and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for designing and executing organizational development initiatives, managing culture action plans, navigating internal partnerships and deploying a measurement strategy in partnership with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and business leaders.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise VP+ leaders and HR partners on leadership capability, readiness, and development priorities

  • Design and evolve enterprise leadership frameworks, success profiles, and capability models

  • Design scalable, experience-based leadership development solutions by level and role (emerging through executive level)

  • Apply leadership assessments, skills data, and 360 feedback to inform development strategy and readiness

  • Facilitate leadership development sessions and forums for leadership cohorts

  • Evaluate and integrate external leadership development partners, content, and assessment tools

  • Operationalize Leadership Effectiveness Index (LEI) to define clear outcomes, KPI’s, and success measures for leadership development

  • Track and analyze leading and lagging indicators of leadership effectiveness using the LEI to assess progress and impact over time

  • Deliver executive‑ready insights and recommendations that clearly demonstrate leadership effectiveness gains and measurable ROI

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Bonus Points

  • 10+ years of experience in leadership development, organization design, executive development, or talent development with an advanced degree in Leadership, Adult Learning, HR, I/O Psychology, or related field

  • Leadership development, coaching, or assessment certifications (Hogan, DiSC, ICF, etc.), strongly preferred

  • Experience integrating assessments, succession data, and development planning for large, complex, or regulated organizations

  • Demonstrated experience designing enterprise‑scale leadership development solutions

  • Strong expertise in leadership frameworks, adult learning, behavior change, and development planning

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, executive‑level presence, and proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders (VP+)

Success Measures

  • Adoption and sustained use of leadership/OD frameworks and tools by leaders and HR partners

  • Improved bench strength indicators (coverage, readiness, internal fill rates) where applicable

  • Movement in leadership effectiveness measures (360 themes, leadership index, listening results)

  • Business impact indicators tied to supported initiatives (execution, engagement, retention, productivity, change adoption)

  • Stakeholder confidence: leader satisfaction, repeat engagement, and trust metrics

Where You’ll Work

Our Hybrid Flex approach is built on presence with a purpose 6 giving you flexibility to work remotely with intentional in-person connection 6 that supports a workplace that’s flexible, connected, and future focused.

In a Hybrid-Flex role, you’ll work in the office at least two days a week for collaboration and connection. In a Remote Flex role, you’ll work virtually, with a few in-office visits each year for meaningful moments that matter.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.

$89,174.00 - $142,679.00
