Full Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Product Manager – Affluent Deposits to help shape the strategic direction and evolution of Prime and Premier Checking products within the Consumer & Small Business Deposits organization. This role will lead the development of differentiated product value propositions, customer experiences, and go-to-market strategies designed to drive sustainable balance growth and high customer satisfaction.

As a senior member of the product team, you will operate with a strong P&L-owner mindset, serving as a key arbiter of product-level economics. While this role does not carry direct P&L ownership, it is accountable for defining and owning the economic narrative of the portfolio—evaluating tradeoffs across growth, pricing, customer experience, risk, and funding objectives to inform leadership decision-making.

This individual will be responsible for setting product strategies and roadmaps that are customer-centric, financially sound, and competitive in the marketplace. This includes managing Prime and Premier Checking, conducting market and competitive analysis, driving product innovation, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and execution excellence. Success in this role requires strong strategic judgment, financial rigor, and the ability to guide stakeholders toward informed, data-driven outcomes aligned with enterprise priorities.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and drive strategy for consumer deposit products, including Prime and Premier Checking, spanning products, solutions, and end‑to‑end customer experiences

  • Serve as the de facto owner of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment across strategic objectives, customer needs, economic outcomes, and delivery priorities

  • Lead product design and lifecycle management for defined customer segments in close partnership with key business and functional stakeholders

  • Provide overall product management leadership and strategic direction for consumer checking products (Prime and Premier Checking) and associated experiences

  • Evaluate and arbitrate trade-offs across growth initiatives, pricing strategies, experience investments, and risk considerations in partnership with Finance and Risk leaders

  • Provide vision, expertise, and strategic guidance to senior leadership on innovative products and solutions that meet evolving customer needs

  • Analyze customer insights, market and competitive dynamics, trends, regulatory requirements, and risk considerations to inform product strategy, design, and experience delivery

  • Develop and influence business plans, success metrics, requirements, and change initiatives across multiple teams and organizations

  • Articulate product vision and strategy, define scope, establish measurable outcomes, and guide the evolution of deposit products, solutions, and experiences

  • Engage and influence leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and delivery teams across the enterprise to drive alignment and execution

  • Act as a senior thought partner to executive leadership by shaping agendas, framing decisions, influencing outcomes, and driving strategic clarity

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven senior-level accountability influencing product strategy, priorities, economics, and outcomes without formal P&L ownership

  • Financial product management experience with strong knowledge of core banking products (Prime and Premier Checking); banking experience preferred

  • Strong product and program management expertise, including roadmap development, strategy, and end-to-end lifecycle delivery in an Agile environment

  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to synthesize insights, financials, and metrics to inform decisions and identify opportunities

  • Effective executive communicator with the ability to deliver compelling, data-backed presentations and strategic narratives

  • Demonstrated ability to assess market and competitive dynamics and drive improvements to customer experience and operational efficiency

  • Strong influencer and relationship builder, able to lead cross-functional teams and gain alignment across senior leaders and key partners

  • Results-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, capable of operating independently while mobilizing resources and motivating teams

  • Skilled in visualizing, articulating, and solving complex problems while operating effectively in ambiguity within a highly matrixed organization

  • Comfortable partnering with senior executives and cross‑functional stakeholders across channels, marketing, operations, and the broader business

  • Highly organized with exceptional coordination and time‑management skills
