Full Job Description
We are actively seeking an accomplished Senior Lead for our M&A Integration Team to serve as a key driver in executing complex mergers and acquisitions. This strategic role involves leading seamless integrations across operations, systems, culture, and strategic initiatives to maximize the value of each deal. You will champion continuous improvement, orchestrate cross-functional efforts, and deliver impactful results that propel the organization forward.

Your ability to independently navigate and accelerate intricate, ambiguous initiatives will be essential, inspiring confidence and ensuring steady progress amidst uncertainty. Exceptional soft skills and outstanding communication abilities are critical to your success, as you effectively foster collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.

As the Senior Lead of M&A Integration, you will oversee the development and execution of various integration of brokerages into Compass nationwide. Your responsibilities include providing tactical support throughout each phase-from operational due diligence to the steady-state transition-working closely with local operations teams and executive leadership. You will lead and manage multiple workstreams, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining strategic alignment with business objectives.

In this role, you will collaborate deeply with key functions including M&A transaction teams, regional brokerage offices, finance, legal, communications, marketing, business development, listings, engineering, and other internal departments. Your leadership will be instrumental in coordinating efforts, managing resources, and keeping all stakeholders aligned to ensure successful integrations and sustainable growth.

*This position is required to work out of the Compass office located at 110 5th Avenue one day, every other week. Compass values in-person connection. While this department is currently working within a hybrid attendance policy, we ask employees to prioritize visiting local offices where they may find value in connecting with their colleagues and customers in person more regularly. You will be expected to comply with your department's schedule, as outlined by your hiring manager. Please note that the department's current policy is subject to change in the future.

At Compass, You Will:
  • Oversee and lead several M&As at a given time, collaborating with M&A integration team members to ensure M&A deals are integrating seamlessly
  • Program manage several workstreams, ensuring that we are not only meeting timelines but are strategically driving the right results
  • Build relationships across the organization and ensure all stakeholders stay on track to deliver what is best for the integration and for the broader organization
  • Strategically identify gaps, solve issues & propose scalable solutions to integrate businesses seamlessly, owning everything from beginning to end, autonomously
  • Build Standard Operating Procedures ('SOPs') to standardize and scale M&A integration operations to drive continuous improvement
  • You will guide regional stakeholders on how to strategically plan the integration of the acquisition in their market
  • Own creation and maintenance of the Integration Playbook & project plans for each deal you oversee
  • Facilitate weekly integration status meetings with all cross-functional stakeholders and keep stakeholder teams on track toward timely completion of respective workstreams
  • Troubleshoot in real time and provide solutions that can bridge the gap for the future
  • Help to drive accountability of team KPIs and ensure we are meeting company objectives, while bringing best practice learnings to the team
  • Own and manage data and analytics for M&A Integration
  • Work with product and engineering teams to build business requirements
  • Provide thought leadership and improve the Program Management craft and processes throughout the M&A Integration organization.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years leading complex business programs or integrations
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong data analysis skills, and familiarity with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar BI visualization tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication that allows you to effectively support your integration partners, influence other teams, create clarity, and drive focus on complex problems
  • P&L management experience
  • Understanding of HR and Enterprise Technology/IT systems, as well as working with Product & Engineering teams

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is $160,000 - $171,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
