This position requires a deep understanding of data modeling principles and practices, as well as a strong foundation in data engineering. The Senior Lead Data Engineering will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and usability across the organization.
Responsibilities: - Design and develop robust data models that meet business requirements and enhance data quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements, translating them into effective data models.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, ensuring consistency and standardization across all data assets.
- Work closely with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure efficient data flow.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, data flows, and data dictionaries.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and modelers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data modeling and engineering.
Mandatory Skills: - Proficiency in data modeling techniques, including conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, or similar.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and big data technologies.
