Senior Laser Systems Subject Matter Expert

Position Overview
Provide technical leadership supporting airborne laser-based countermeasure, sensing, targeting, and directed energy initiatives supporting PMA-272. Provide targeted research and R&D expertise for various efforts involving aviation, engineering support, weapons systems, and program management support. Must be independent and able to conduct in-depth research and development.
Responsibilities
- Support laser system development, integration, testing, and fielding.
- Analyze laser performance and operational effectiveness.
- Support acquisition documentation and engineering assessments.
- Coordinate with government laboratories, test organizations, and OEMs.
- Provide subject matter expertise during technical reviews and program planning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field.
- 10+ years supporting laser systems, directed energy, EO/IR, or advanced weapon systems.
- Military aviation or DoD acquisition experience highly desirable.
