Verdantas is seeking a
Sr. Land Development Engineer to support our growing team in
Wilmington, DE.
As a
Sr. Land Development Engineer, you'll work with multidisciplinary design teams and help manage high-impact site development projects across Delaware. Your work will span from site layouts and grading, stormwater management and erosion control, water and wastewater utility design, and permitting.

What You'll Do:- Assist Civil Group Leader with Design and Project Management
- Perform technical planning and design work associated with land or site development and/or water/natural resources projects, including (as appropriate based on experience and licensure)
- Develop site layouts and perform detailed design and grading to ensure efficient, compliant, and build-ready project sites
- Perform comprehensive stormwater management design, erosion and sediment control planning, and landscape assessments to support resilient and compliant project development
- Prepare detailed entrance layout and access design plans that ensure safe, efficient, and compliant site entry and circulation
- Prepare records and construction plans for agency/municipal review
- Complete various land development and environmental permitting applications.
- Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
What You Bring:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- 7 or more years of experience in land development (preferably in Delaware)
- P.E. required (Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and/or New Jersey preferred)
- Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs. DNREC experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability & experience to lead a team of engineers and designers
- AutoCAD proficient, Civil 3D a plus
- Familiarity with Hydro CAD, Hydraflow, or other stormwater modeling software
- Familiarity with ArcGIS software is a plus
Salary Range:The compensation range starts at $95,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.
