Position Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high performing Agile team supporting the implementation, enhancement, and integration of enterprise ERP applications for public sector organizations. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Java based solutions that extend ERP functionality and enable secure, reliable integration with internal and external systems.

As part of a collaborative development team, you will build scalable interfaces, APIs, and application enhancements using modern Java technologies while working alongside architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and ERP functional consultants. This position offers the opportunity to work on mission critical enterprise applications, leverage cloud and integration technologies, and contribute to the modernization of government ERP platforms in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java based applications supporting enterprise ERP solutions.
• Develop and support system integrations using REST/SOAP web services, APIs, messaging frameworks, and ETL technologies.
• Create and maintain interfaces between ERP applications and third party systems.
• Develop reusable application components following enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while performing root cause analysis and implementing long term solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, and functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
• Develop technical documentation, interface specifications, and deployment documentation.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support application deployments, upgrades, and production releases.
• Ensure compliance with security, coding, and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior developers and promote development best practices across the team.
• Support ongoing ERP modernization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and enterprise application development.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience designing and developing system integrations and interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience using Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross functional Agile teams.

To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $156,700.00.
