Summary

The Senior IT Security Associate serves as a critical bridge between security architecture and engineering execution, driving the configuration, deployment, and operational maturity of enterprise security technologies. This role partners cross-functionally with Application, Identity, Network, Endpoint, Web, and Architecture teams to translate strategic designs and security standards into scalable, supportable configurations, policies, and workflows. In addition to enabling consistent implementation and reducing operational risk, the role leads pilot deployments, evaluates emerging security platforms, and establishes monitoring, alerting, and response frameworks to ensure strong visibility and resilience. Through deep technical expertise and stakeholder collaboration, this position plays a key role in strengthening security posture, advancing operational excellence, and enabling secure, sustainable growth across the organization.

Job Duties

  • Acts as the technical bridge between Security Associates and Security Architects by validating feasibility of designs, providing implementation feedback, and identifying opportunities to simplify or standardize configurations.
  • Partnering across Application, Identity, Network, Endpoint, Web and Architecture teams, champions stakeholders' needs as input to security solution roadmaps.
  • Translates architectural designs, reference patterns, and security standards into concrete system configurations, policies, and workflows that are durable, supportable, and scalable.
  • Acts as bridge between Security Associates and Architects validating feasibility of designs, providing implementation feedback, and identifying opportunities to simplify or standardize configurations.
  • Develops and maintains configuration standards, runbooks, and deployment playbooks to enable consistent implementation, reduce operational risk, and support onboarding of additional engineers or analysts.
  • Leads proofs-of-value (POV) and pilot deployments of new security platforms and features, incorporating stakeholder feedback prior to broad rollout; collaborate with Architecture and Governance teams to evaluate new security tools.
  • Partners with operations teams to define monitoring, alerting, logging, and response patterns for newly deployed security systems, ensuring visibility and actionable telemetry from day one.
  • Supports incident response activities by providing deep platform expertise, configuration insights, and post-incident improvement recommendations.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Four years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • CISSP is preferred or similar certifications.
