The Senior IT Project Manager works with minimal supervision on projects of moderate to high complexity. He/She serves as a liaison between the business community and Information Technology (I.T.). This position will coordinate project planning and reporting to ensure completion of key deliverables related to IT Business and Department Projects as well as IT department activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Scoping and/or manage programs, systems, and process engineering efforts. Work with key product/platform/business stakeholders to formulate the business vision, frame initial requirements, and scope the project.
- Participates in the development and management of the IT Steering Committee (ITSC) processes and presentations
- Lead project teams, including defining meeting agendas, facilitating meetings, and follow-up on action items
- Translate business or customer needs. Work with the customer to elicit and distill requirements and perspectives from different sources and integrate and refine the information into a consistent vision, direction, and outcome for technical development or organizational change.
- Translate technical issues. Explain technical/architectural complexities to project stakeholders; understand and communicate technical or project-plan impact to requirements.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs.
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to management as needed.
- Participates in identifying solutions for cross-functional project and ensures mapped solutions satisfy business problems and opportunities.
- Breaks down complex concepts into comprehensible concepts to ensure appropriate level of communication and understanding for the project stakeholders.
- Identifies addresses, negotiates, records, reports, manages and escalates action items, risks and issues associated to the project.
- Develop and maintain project and portfolio financial budget and track financial performance
