We are seeking an experienced
Software Developer to join our Digital & AI engineering team supporting mission-critical applications within the nuclear energy industry. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud-native applications while ensuring compliance with U.S. Nuclear Part 810 regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on full-stack developer with strong cloud engineering experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must successfully complete the required Nuclear Part 810 background screening.

Preferred Qualifications- 5-7+ years of hands-on software development experience building enterprise-grade applications.
- 2+ years of experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS (GCP experience is also valued). Cloud Certification is a plus
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Experience building AI-enabled applications or integrating Generative AI capabilities into enterprise software.
- Familiarity with API Gateway technologies and service mesh architecture.
- Experience working in regulated industries (Energy, Utilities, Nuclear, Healthcare, Financial Services).
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using modern development frameworks and best practices.
- Build secure, reliable, and high-performance backend services using Node.js, NestJS, Python, and TypeScript.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using Angular.
- Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Develop and deploy applications on AWS using serverless and container-based architectures.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks using Confluence.
- Ensure applications adhere to cybersecurity, compliance, and software quality standards required for regulated environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, where appropriate.

Job Duties & Responsibilities• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes and enhances existing or new systems

• Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
• Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and ensuring customer satisfaction

• Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required
• Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed
