Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Overview / Summary

A Senior Business Analyst is needed to support the enhancement and maintenance of the Consolidated Application within the NexSys platform. This application supports the distribution of federal formula grants to Local Education Agencies.

The Business Analyst will serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, regional field services consultants and managers, internal teams, and vendor partners. The role focuses on business requirements, user acceptance testing, end-user documentation, training support, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external consultants.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field consultants regarding application issues.
  • Communicate issue status, resolutions, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize operational support requests and enhancement tickets in Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with vendor teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of business analysts.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Facilitate and lead business and technical requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Maintain project documentation on the SharePoint site.
  • Ensure process changes and decisions are documented and accessible.
  • Support business requirements, user acceptance testing, end-user documentation, and training.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • 2+ years of experience working with grant management systems or government-funded programs.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience in cross-functional team environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Office.
  • 5 years of experience with complex IT web applications within the past 5 years.
  • 5 years of experience gathering and documenting business feedback and incorporating changes into current processes.
  • 5 years of experience leading meetings, conducting training and information sessions, communicating with varied audiences, and preparing oral and written reports and presentations.
  • 3 years of experience serving as a liaison between development teams and project managers or business clients in software development projects.
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • 1 year of experience with Azure DevOps, including creating User Stories and queries.
