Responsibilities

  • Lead the lifecycle management and continuous improvement of PMIS.
  • Oversee enhancements, upgrades, and application releases.
  • Resolve complex issues and manage escalations effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define application requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Deliver solutions including design and implementation support.
  • Manage vendor performance, contracts, and ensure compliance with SLAs.
  • Identify application risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop insights and reports on application performance and health.
  • Contribute to application roadmap planning and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Senior IT Applications Specialist (PMIS) is responsible for the end-to-end management, governance, and optimization of Project Management Information System (PMIS) and related platforms. The role leads solution delivery, oversees vendor performance, and provides technical and strategic guidance to support enterprise application performance and evolution.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead application lifecycle management including governance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee implementation of enhancements, upgrades, and releases.
  • Lead resolution of complex issues and escalations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutions.
  • Lead solution delivery including design oversight and implementation support.
  • Manage vendor performance, contracts, and service delivery against SLAs.
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities to enhance application value.
  • Develop reporting and insights on application health and performance.
  • Contribute to application roadmap planning and alignment with priorities.


Who You Are:

  • University degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline an asset.
  • Strong experience with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS). Experience with Kahua PMIS would be an asset
  • Several years of experience in application management or systems analysis.
  • Experience managing enterprise applications across the full lifecycle.
  • Understanding of large-scale infrastructure projects, including exposure to Engineering, Procurement and Construction business processes (i.e. RFI's, Submittals, Change Orders and Scheduling)
  • Experience leading solution delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing vendors and service performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with Agile, cloud platforms, or enterprise systems is an asset.

We offer a competitive hiring range of $112,200 to $127,000 (P5 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
