Full Job Description
Hover is looking for a service-minded IT Administrator for our New York, NY office who takes pride in helping people do their best work. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for IT support for our 300+ employees across the U.S., primarily supporting macOS and modern cloud-based tools in a fast-growing environment. You'll own issues end-to-end, digging into root causes, solving problems thoughtfully, and delivering a great experience for every internal customer you support. You won't just keep the lights on. Alongside a small, highly collaborative IT team, you'll help continuously improve how we deliver IT services, contributing ideas and initiatives that make our systems more reliable, scalable, and user-friendly over time. At Hover, IT is a true business partner. We work closely with teams across the company-from People Ops and Workplace to Engineering, Sales, and Recruiting-to build and automate systems that expand what those teams can do. We also partner with Security to protect accounts, devices, and data, supporting company-wide security practices and ongoing SOC 2 compliance. You will contribute by: In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for IT support at Hover, working directly with employees through Jira, Slack, and in-person interactions to resolve issues quickly and thoughtfully. You'll take ownership of problems from start to finish, digging into root causes and delivering reliable solutions that help teammates stay productive. You'll also play a key role in the hire-to-retire experience, ensuring new employees have a great first day through system setup, hardware provisioning, and live onboarding support. You'll manage our SSO authentication environment in Okta for internal user access, maintaining security groups, building out SAML integrations, and evolving the system as appropriate as user identity innovations occur. In partnership with our Workplace teams in San Francisco and New York, you'll help keep office networks, conferencing systems, and AV technology running smoothly, while continuously improving how IT services are delivered as Hover grows. Your background includes: • 2-4 years of experience providing end-to-end IT support in a fast-growing start-up environment, predominantly in macOS with some Windows • Cloud-first thinking with hands-on experience working with the latest SaaS IT systems, including Jamf, Google Workspace, Okta, Intune, etc. • A demonstrated track record of managing SAML IDP environments, specifically in Okta. At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $133,000-$165,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all applicable US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. About Hover

The Hoover Company is a home appliance company founded in Ohio, United States. It also established a major base in the United Kingdom; and, mostly in the 20th century, it dominated the electric vacuum cleaner industry, to the point where the Hoover brand name became synonymous with vacuum cleaners and vacuuming in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
