About the RoleWe're looking for a
Senior Android Software Engineer to join a small, product-focused team building a consumer fintech mobile app. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ship meaningful features that directly impact users' financial lives.
What You'll Do- Design, implement, and maintain the core Android application.
- Help build and scale platform-level architecture and infrastructure.
- Contribute to product design decisions and overall direction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Android engineers.
What We're Looking For- At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, with 2 or more years shipping production Android apps professionally.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
- Strong Kotlin expertise, including Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns (MVVM or Clean Architecture).
- Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile: protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
- Hands-on experience integrating Firebase services, including Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
- Proficiency with Android testing strategies: unit tests, instrumentation tests, and UI tests.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development.
- Demonstrated history of mentorship or technical leadership with junior engineers.
- Background building consumer-facing mobile applications (not exclusively B2B).
- Strong university-level CS or engineering background.
- Clear, effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 USD annually.
