Voya Investment Management is seeking an experienced investment writer who has the talent, judgment and motivation to be a strong contributor and leader within the marketing team.

Position Overview

Voya Investment Management is seeking an experienced investment writer to fill a recently vacated position and develop thought leadership and market-facing content. This role will focus primarily on fixed income, multi-asset/DC solutions, and private equity, with secondary support for CIO/macro insights and selected public equity topics. The position works closely with channel marketing, investment teams, client portfolio managers, product specialists, distribution leaders and graphic designers to shape relevant, well-supported content across written, visual, and digital formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner across teams to craft written and visual content such as thought leadership, market insights, email copy, video scripts, and sales-support materials.
  • Identify strong content opportunities, sharpen angles, and frame ideas around what matters to the intended audience.
  • Build working expertise in priority coverage areas and apply sound editorial instincts in how ideas are structured and expressed.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience writing about investments, markets, economics, or asset allocation within asset management, wealth management, financial media, or a related field.
  • Strong familiarity with fixed income, multi-asset, alternatives, and retirement-related markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to create content for financial professional, institutional, and end-investor audiences.
  • Experience across multiple formats, including long- and short-form writing, storytelling with data, and digital content; video scripting is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$145,000 - $165,000 USD
