Full Job Description
While not required, prior project finance/infrastructure investing experience is preferred.

The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location:

Columbus: One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215

Work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

As a key contributor to the Private Placements team's efforts, the Senior Investment Professional will focus primarily on supporting the process of evaluating and recommending privately placed debt transactions as well as monitoring portfolio securities across a variety of sectors. The Nationwide Investments Structured Products Team is a dedicated group of experienced investment professionals focused on delivering superior investment results to our clients. This role may have people leader responsibilities.

As a potential people leader, you may also be responsible for the overall performance of the team, as well as management of individual associates. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Manager responsible for research, trading and portfolio management activities.
  • Identification of executable and suitable market opportunities.
  • Transaction analysis including participants, credit, borrower, structure, deal documents and relative value scenario analysis.
  • Portfolio surveillance including identification of emerging investment risks, and development and implementation of successful risk mitigation actions.
  • Portfolio performance attribution analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects, reporting and analysis as requested.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding relative value, sector analysis, asset class dynamics and portfolio.
  • Drives the creation of streamlined reporting and portfolio reports as needed.
  • Leads data management and maintenance.
  • May have people leader responsibilities.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree and/or CFA desirable

Experience: 8 to 12 years of investment experience

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
