Job Overview

As the Senior Interior Designer you are responsible to deliver interior design services across design projects from concept development through construction completion. You provide technical design expertise, strong design sensibility, and collaborative coordination with Development, Construction, Sales and Marketing, Homeowner Care, consultants, suppliers and trades to support clear, buildable, cost-conscious and market-aligned design outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Developing interior design packages for residential and amenity spaces, including conceptual design, detailed design, finish schedules, specifications and construction documentation.
  • Coordinating material, finish, fixture, furniture, equipment and accessory selections to support project objectives, budgets, constructability and buyer expectations.
  • Coordinating design requirements with architects, engineers, code consultants, suppliers, trades and the Construction and Development teams.
  • Supporting site reviews, providing field guidance on interior design scopes, and resolving design-related issues through construction completion.
  • Designing and managing sales centre concepts with Sales and Marketing, including furniture, finishes, artwork, accessories, styling, refreshes and brand alignment.
  • Designing, furnishing and styling completed amenity spaces, including furniture, fixtures and equipment packages, procurement coordination, installation support and final styling.
  • Acting as the central internal resource for interior design decisions, updates and feedback across Development, Construction, Sales and Marketing, and Homeowner Care.
  • Improving coordination on floorplans, recurring design elements, standard specifications to strive for more efficient design iteration, issue resolution and decision making.

Essential Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Interior Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience of interior design with multi-family residential projects, amenity spaces and sales centres.
  • Strong technical ability, excellent design sensibility, and experience preparing drawing packages from concept through construction.
  • Strong knowledge of finish selection, specifications, schedules, detailing, constructability, budgets and project timelines.
  • Established industry relationships with suppliers, consultants and trades, and experience coordinating with internal project teams.
  • Class 5 driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint) AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset.

Work Conditions

You primarily work full-time in-house from the Surrey office. Hours are primarily regular business hours. Overtime and weekends may occasionally be required. Travel to and from sites will be necessary.
