OverviewOur next Senior Interior Designer will work collaboratively to design and create schematics and concepts that meet programming requirements and health and safety codes. This individual will also create construction drawing sets and create presentation materials.
Our next Senior Interior Designer will lead the planning, schematic design, and construction documentation phases for national retail and hospitality clients. This role serves as a key design leader, fostering collaboration with clients and coordinating seamlessly across multiple internal disciplines to deliver thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.
Responsibilities- Use advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in developing design.
- Perform complex assignments requiring development of new and/or improved techniques and procedures.
- Assist in the education and development of design staff and act as resource for design questions.
- Participate in the interpretation, update, and/or creation of Standards of Practice.
- Perform QA/QC on drawings from drafters, designers, and/or junior architects on project.
- Perform the duties of a Project Architect.
- May serve as contact for client, other design professionals, and contractors.
- May act as quality coordinator for discipline led projects.
- Establish & maintain positive relationships with co-workers, support and build others on the team and across disciplines/offices.
- Be responsive to others and share information to improve efficiency and help others achieve goals; listen and engage in productive and critical debate.
- Suggest new ideas and processes; stay informed of developments in practice areas; view obstacles as opportunities.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree of Architecture or related field from an accredited university required.
- 8+ years of related experience in Interior Design.
- Certified Interior Designer (NCIDQ) or licensure as regulated by state.
- Prior experience in Revit is required; AutoCAD, Adobe Creative, and SketchUp experience is a plus.
- Registered Architect in Pennsylvania or equivalent work experience as a Designer.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in all areas of architecture and specialized expertise in one or more related areas.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
