Full Job Description
Meet the team:

The Embedded Tools and Test team at Latitude AI is part of the Onboard Platforms team. We are responsible for working closely with the platform development teams and facilitating automated test workflows, developing test plans, building test tooling and executing the design verification plan on the target platform embedded hardware. This includes a deep understanding of the hardware and software required to support test tooling and infrastructure of the boot chain, real time OS, high level OS, networking, time synchronization, and embedded applications.

What you'll do:
  • Support the architecture and design of complex embedded runtime software V&V plans
  • Development and implementation of hardware in the loop product qualification tests and support test integration
  • Review development team requirements and for accuracy and technical implementation
  • Develop automated test prototypes for development teams and ensure test tooling requirements are identified
  • Support CI pipelines and troubleshoot complex hardware and software system integration issues
  • Develop and maintain test asset software tools and infrastructure
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and lead technical projects and initiatives
  • Work with cross functional stakeholders including Systems engineers, Software developers and Hardware engineers to accomplish the test objectives

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD)
  • 5+ years of technical experience
  • Experience working with Automotive lifecycle requirements and validation and verification testing
  • Knowledge of software integration and test concepts and modalities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Python programming languages
  • Experience in developing test frameworks solutions to support embedded runtime or hardware in the loop systems
  • Ability to write concise, clear, and detailed engineering documentation

Nice to have:
  • Detailed knowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) - ISO 26262, ISO 21434
  • Detailed knowledge of networking and embedded network switches - (TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs)
  • Experience with microcontrollers and general purpose interfaces - (DOIP/CAN, I2C, UART)
  • Experience with Embedded OS platforms - RTOS, Linux
