ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Integration Program Manager is accountable for planning, coordinating, governance, and execution of a multi-year business integration program following an acquisition. Acting on behalf of the COO and Executive Steering Committee, the role serves as the central integration leader across Technology, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and other functional workstreams. The primary objective is the successful systems implementation, data migration, and execution of operational transition activities while protecting business continuity and critical member-facing services for both SOCAN and the acquired organization. The role will also lead planning and readiness activities for Phase 2, which may include systems, process, data, organizational, and operating model integration.

WHAT YOU'LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure integration activities do not negatively impact royalty processing, distributions, licensing operations, financial reporting, payroll, or other critical business functions.
  • Own the overall integration roadmap, governance framework, master plan, critical path, risk register, dependency map, and executive reporting.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between workstream teams and the Executive Steering Committee.
  • Lead the Operations workstream directly while coordinating execution across Technology, Finance, HR, and other workstreams.
  • Manage and coordinate workstream project managers/coordinators and leads, ensuring alignment of priorities, resources, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Actively manage cross-workstream dependencies and sequencing to minimize operational risk and implementation conflicts.
  • Oversee planning and execution of system implementations, data migrations, testing, cutover planning, stabilization activities, and operational readiness assessments.
  • Maintain rigorous scope management and change control disciplines.
  • Monitor integration synergies, benefits realization, efficiency gains, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Act as a neutral facilitator and problem solver when competing priorities or legacy practices create barriers to progress.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate integration risks and escalate significant issues.
  • Partner with HR, Communications & Marketing, and other business leaders to support communications, stakeholder engagement, readiness, training, and adoption activities.
  • Build trust across both organizations while constructively challenging assumptions and maintaining focus on outcomes.
  • Lead Phase 2 planning activities, integration sequencing, readiness assessments, and implementation preparation, including facilitation of the development of future-state operating model, organizational, governance, process, and technology recommendations by workstream leaders; challenge assumptions, provide integration insight, surface interdependencies, and ensure recommendations are coordinated across functions.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bilingual English and French an asset
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high volume data environment
  • Computer literacy and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Financial competence/literacy.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task.
  • Copyright/Rights Management experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of existing SOCAN distribution workflows an asset.
  • Knowledge of repertoire, copyright, and share splits an asset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in Business, Operations, Information Technology, Finance, HR, or related field.
  • PMP designation strongly preferred.
  • Prosci, Agile, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification is an asset.
  • Experience within media, technology, financial services, membership, royalty administration, or complex service organizations would be an asset.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading complex programs, transformations, integrations, or enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading merger, acquisition, integration, carve-out, separation, or major organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong operational leadership background with the ability to understand and connect business processes across multiple functions.
  • Experience leading large-scale technology implementations, ERP implementations, system migrations, data migrations, and operational readiness activities.
  • Advanced program and project management skills, including governance, critical path, dependency, and risk management, resource planning, budgeting, and executive reporting.
  • Strong understanding of change management and experience leading organizational change in complex environments with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
  • Experience managing multiple project managers and cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to identify operational, financial, technology, people, and compliance risks and implement practical mitigation plans.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with senior executives, steering committees, external partners, consultants, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
