Senior Integration and Testing Production Engineer

Salt Lake City, UT (Fully Onsite)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Senior Integration and Testing Production Engineer, whose role involves performing system integration, final system testing, acceptance testing, and diagnostic troubleshooting on stand-alone electronic and RF-based equipment.

In this position, you will serve as a technical focal point for the team, supporting one or more product lines and leveraging your technical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure systems meet performance and quality requirements. Your experience, problem-solving abilities, and technical leadership will play a key role in supporting production objectives and the successful integration and testing of our products.

Regulatory Compliance Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined in applicable law, or otherwise authorized or eligible for authorization, to access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) .


Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Assume full responsibility for integration and acceptance testing activities for one or more product lines in accordance with released procedures, including planning, executing, and monitoring activities to support production objectives.
  • Serve as a focal point for assigned product line(s), providing regular updates to management on manufacturing status, activity progress, technical issues, root cause analysis, and recovery actions, while coordinating task allocation and priorities with team members.
  • Perform testing across multiple levels of electronic assemblies, including digital, analog, RF, box, and system-level equipment, adapting testing methods and approaches based on product requirements.
  • Interpret schematics, diagrams, layouts, written/verbal instructions, and Engineering-defined plans to perform testing, checkout, troubleshooting, operational testing, and fault isolation to ensure conformance with final product specifications.
  • Calibrate and align RF and digital circuits in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to the component level, and perform repairs as instructed.
  • Conduct defined tests, collect and document required data, and perform final product verification, ensuring all associated documentation and paperwork are accurate and complete prior to final acceptance.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5-8+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; including at least 2 years of hands-on experience integrating and testing Navigation Aid products and systems or similar aviation-related electronic systems.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and mechanical blueprints, applying analytical and critical-thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong numerical aptitude and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience providing on-the-job training, technical guidance, and support to peers and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and solutions-oriented, with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and patiently drive complex issues through resolution.
  • Proven ability to track, monitor, and report status against established schedules, with proficiency using PCs, Microsoft Windows applications, and other related software.

Special Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL), Amateur Extra Class (Ham Radio) license, or prior military experience preferred.
  • Experience with Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite at a Thales facility on a standard 5-day/40-hour workweek or 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule, with flexible start/stop times based on business needs and assignment volume.
  • Ability to work within specialized environments, including manufacturing/production areas, R&D laboratories, and warehouse settings.
  • Ability to travel domestically on occasion, anticipated to be less than 5% annually.

Total Target Cash (TTC) 94,306.50 - 157,177.50 USD Annual
