Job Description Summary:System Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer (SMTS) serves as the system integrator for technologies and product lines developed using Draper's core capabilities. In this role they plan, execute, and manage I&T activities starting from early test concept development through system certification. This includes functional simulation, subsystem and system integration and test, verification and validation (V&V), performance evaluation, and acceptance testing. System I&T Engineers leverage multi-disciplinary engineering expertise and collaborate with other Systems Engineers to establish clear, verifiable, and traceable requirements, inform and drive system concepts, architectures, and designs to promote testability, and utilizes resident expertise and lessons learned to support the development of highly reliable, robust, and complex systems.
Job Description:Duties/Responsibilities- Able to take ownership of assignments and guide others as needed; successfully lead tasks while tracking priorities, scope, cost and schedule.
- Derive plans, approaches, procedures for solving complex I&T problems across a program lifecycle, capturing all assumptions and adapting appropriately to changes in requirements with limited direction.
- Independently contribute high quality content for technical reports and presentations which shows an understanding of their task and an awareness of the intended audience.
- Demonstrate confidence and success when presenting technical information during meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EducationRequires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
ExperienceRequires 5-7 years in Systems Engineering or relevant role.
Additional Job Description:Preference for EE, HWIL, avionics, optical test, and inertial sensor test skills and experience.
