Full Job Description
The Senior Instructional Designer, Sales Enablement & Training is responsible for creating and sustaining high-impact learning solutions that enable field readiness, ensure regulatory compliance, and accelerate adoption of strategic initiatives. Leveraging instructional design expertise and learning technology, this role partners with Sales Enablement, Sales Leaders, and Subject Matter Experts to convert complex real-world sales, process, and compliance challenges into engaging, learner-centered experiences.
Functions as the departmental Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Instructional Design, eLearning, and Learning Technologies, serving as a trusted advisor to Sales Enablement, business leaders, and cross-functional partners. Demonstrates deep, up-to-date expertise in instructional design methodology, adult learning theory, performance-based learning, and best practices across multiple delivery modalities (digital, virtual, blended, and performance support). Continuously evaluates and applies emerging learning technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance learner engagement, scalability, personalization, and business impact. Establishes standards, influences design quality, and drives adoption of innovative learning approaches aligned to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Performance Consulting and Analysis
3 Partner with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to diagnose performance gaps and define learning and performance outcomes3 Provide leadership and support for learning platform governance, including Highspot and myLearning (Cornerstone), establishing content standards and structure aligned to instructional design best practices to drive consistent field adoption and a high-value, intuitive seller learning experience.3 Translate complex business needs into clear instructional strategies and learning architectures3 Design learning solutions that integrate into field workflows, providing just-in-time performance support and reinforcement beyond formal training.
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, recommending learning and non-learning solutions aligned to business impact
Instructional Design and Curriculum Development
3 Lead end-to-end instructional design from needs analysis through implementation, applying adult learning theory and instructional design best practices to create effective, engaging, and scalable learning solutions.3 Translate business goals, performance requirements, and learner needs into clear instructional strategies, curriculum architectures, and measurable learning objectives.3 Design and develop learning experiences across multiple modalities, including digital, virtual, blended, and performance support using a rapid-development approach to meet evolving business needs.3 Leverage learning technologies, tools, and platforms to deliver innovative, learner-centered solutions that are easy to maintain and aligned to field workflows.3 Partner closely with Sales Enablement and Training to analyze, design, build, and sustain New Hire Onboarding programs and core sales training experiences.3 Ensure successful implementation by managing quality standards, facilitating smooth transitions from design to delivery, and continuously improving content based on feedback and performance data.
Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting Analytics
3 Design course-level assessments to ensure learning objectives were addressed in the content at an appropriate learning level. Analyze for effectiveness.3 Design overall program Evaluation Strategy to ensure a solid framework is in place with measurable baseline and associated metrics to ensure learning transfer.3 Compile and analyze dashboard results on evaluations (assessing readiness, job impact, and business impact).3 Partner with stakeholders to connect learning data to field performance indicators, adoption metrics, and business outcomes
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Degree required, preferably in instructional design, instructional technology, or a related field OR equivalent technical experience
Critical Skills
3 3+ years Instructional Design experience3 Advanced knowledge on MS Office3 Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading/editing and quality assurance3 Strong content management skills; detail and process oriented3 Proficiency with industry-standard instructional design and multimedia tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/360, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Vyond), with the ability to quickly adapt to new platforms and technologies.3 Proficiency with building interactive online learning (interactive scenarios and branching)3 Working administrative knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone onDemand preferred)3 Expert project management, prioritization, and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.3 Candidates are expected to provide a portfolio showing interactive design, media, and online content.

3 Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and can work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.3 Proven success at establishing rapport with business partners at multiple levels, working on larger teams, and collaborative work habits.3 Demonstrated ability to act as a consultant, including skills to probe for understanding, identify issues/opportunities; suggest win-win conflict resolution.3 Demonstrated ability to influence standards, decisions, and direction across teams3 Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as needed to support learning design.3 Experience with HTML, XML, web-based training, digital video production, audio editing, graphic design, streaming media and web conferencing are useful.3 Pharmaceutical and/or sales industry experience preferred3 Ability to design and develop engaging and interactive training using a variety of modalities and method3 Acts as a key contributor in a more complex/critical environment.3 Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of others without formal management responsibilities; may utilize internal or external resources to accomplish goals3 Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods. Employs expertise as a generalist or specialist.3 Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity.3 Work is accomplished without considerable direction. This role is a hybrid position. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.
