Position Description

Job Summary:

TheSenior Industrial Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle execution of complex construction and industrial projects, from planning and design through to completion and closeout. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, capable of ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives. This position works with a team of project support staff and works closely with internal departments, customers, and contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct day-to-day industrial project planning and execution activities, ensuring alignment with design specifications, budget targets, and schedule milestones.
  • Oversee procurement of critical equipment, materials, and subcontractor services, ensuring specifications, lead times, and costs remain aligned with the project plan.
  • Maintain direct accountability for project P&L, tracking actual costs against budget, forecasting final cost, and implementing corrective actions to protect margin.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer from kickoff through closeout, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and resolution of concerns.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering to ensure drawings and technical documentation meet project requirements and are delivered in time to support the schedule.
  • Identify, initiate, prepare and present change order requests for out of scope work with clear justification, cost estimates, and revised schedules.
  • Drive site readiness by working with field service leadership to confirm labor, equipment, and safety plans are in place before mobilization.
  • Establish and enforce standards, processes, and tools that support governance and project management best practices across the full project lifecycle.
  • Set productivity, safety, and quality targets based on deep knowledge of construction and industrial operations.
  • Monitor project progress through milestones and deliverables, manage change requests, and ensure accurate and timely technical status reporting.
  • Lead resolution efforts on escalated issues that may impede project progress, coordinating with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Foster and manage strategic relationships with customers, salespeople, internal departments, contractors, and vendors, ensuring transparent and effective communication throughout project execution.
  • Analyze project metrics and outcomes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement and future cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, internal policies, and industry standards.


Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Project Management Certification is required.
  • Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • PMI-ACP considered
  • SAFe Agilist considered
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or construction project management
  • Proven track record of managing complex, high-value projects within industrial or commercial construction settings.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, construction/industrial processes, and operational best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., Certinia is a plus).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in high-volume, multi-site industrial environments.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control systems.


Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid office and field-based work; some travel to job sites required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
