As a Senior Industrial Engineer here at Honeywell, you will drive efficiency, productivity, and innovation. Analyze and optimize processes, implement improvement strategies, and collaborate with teams for operational excellence. You will report directly to our Senior Industrial Engineer, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

This role is within the Integrated Supply Chain Logistics Distribution function at Honeywell Aerospace. In this role, you will impact on the overall performance of our distribution network, driving improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be part of a global team that applies its expertise and knowledge in driving technical solutions to improve customer service by optimizing delivery lead time, quality, and cost.

You will support technical projects finding innovative, efficient means to improve Distribution business of Honeywell on a global scale.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop warehouse management systems and solutions tailored to our Honeywell Aerospace operational needs.
  • Implement system configs, integrations, and customizations to optimize warehouse processes.
  • Design, develop and implement scalable models to capture actionable opportunities targeting reduction in OPEX cost and optimizing distribution needs.
  • Work closely with IT, business logistics, and operations team to ensure effective system integration and alignment with business goals.
  • Use SQL and R/Python to perform data pull and analyze distribution business trends driving key business decisions.
  • Analyze and determine the optimal solutions for end to end flow of parts - including logistics routing, inventory optimization, capacity planning, storage, cross-docking operations.
  • You will have ownership over end-to-end process from identification of opportunities and bottlenecks in the supply chain to delivery of solutions.
  • Simulate and conduct sensitivity analysis to stress test existing DC operations and future models to identify operational bottlenecks and risks.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 6 plus years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Warehouse Engineering: Functional experience with WMS, Product Slotting, Distribution Center MHE, Studying Labor Standards (time studies), Distribution Layouts (AUTO-CAD).
  • MS Office, MS Project, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Network analysis tools (Lmasoft), MS Visio, Statistical Analysis Tools, and Simulation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and technologies, including TMS and SAP, to drive productivity.
  • Experience in developing and implementing logistics strategies that enhance operational performance.


WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Business or Supply Chain program and a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Master's degree and/or 3 years or more relevant experience in the Distribution, Warehousing, Supply Chain Logistics industry.
  • Knowledgeable in modeling heuristics, best practices, and effective solutions from within the industry or derived from other industries.
  • Candidates with TMS systems functional experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment.
