Job Description Summary
Dauch is seeking an ambitious Senior Industrial Engineer to join our world-class team. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a leading company in the automotive industry, where you will have the chance to contribute to the flawless execution of our manufacturing processes. This is a hybrid role located at our World Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.

The ideal candidate has the ability to identify problems and implement solutions with minimal guidance, as well as strong people and project management skills to influence without formal authority. This person should have outstanding communication and presentation skills and be able to collaborate effectively with teams from various departments.

Job Description:
  • Develops labor standards by analyzing work samples and methods; measuring work performance.
  • Improves labor utilization by studying work methods; testing modifications; designing new methods; recommending job restructuring.
  • Improves workflow by studying process flow charts; recommending modifications in workflow, work stations and product; developing new procedures; recommending equipment modifications and purchases.
  • Reduces waste by studying methods, equipment, and operator techniques; recommending changes; identifying and analyzing waste.
  • Implements work improvement programs by conferring with management and engineering staff.
  • Prepares work-analysis information and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Regularly coaches others using skills and business knowledge.
  • Completes work improvement projects by training and guiding operators and supervisors.
  • Assists in the development of annual budget activities and tracks monthly performance.
  • Maintains operations guidelines by writing and updating policies, procedures and methods.
  • Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing facility, preferably within the automotive field.
  • Ability and willingness to adopt flexible work hours in order to support the launch of manufacturing processes and meet program demands, including travel approximately 25% of the time (domestic and international).
  • Consistent track record of efficiently implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.) for the purposes of communicating, preparing reports, and organizing data.
  • Experience using advanced digital technologies to optimize processes, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics.
