Full Job Description
We are looking for a visionary and experienced Senior Industrial Designer to help shape the future of our product portfolio. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping drive the industrial design efforts across our entire product line, influencing everything from early concept exploration to market launch. Your work will span design language development, user experience, and seamless integration with engineering and manufacturing. Contract: Fulltime/12-month Fixed Term Key Responsibilities - Assist, and lead in some cases, the creative process from concept through to mass production, championing human-centered design principles. - Translate complex marketing and product requirements into compelling design solutions in collaboration with engineering, product, manufacturing and business teams. - Generate innovative concepts using sketches, CAD models, renderings, and mock-ups to most effectively communicate and execute your ideas. - Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency across all deliverables. - Own design through every development phase, communicating clearly across multidisciplinary teams and with external partners, ensuring the retention of design intent and high-fidelity implementation. -. - Apply consumer and ethnographic research insights to identify and drive meaningful user experiences. - Be receptive to constructive feedback, contributing positively to a collaborative design culture. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in industrial design or product design. - 5-7 years of experience in industrial design, with 2-3 years in a senior role, within fast-paced consumer electronics or high-volume consumer goods sectors. - Proven ability to lead projects and inspire teams, both internally and externally. - Expertise in 2D/3D design tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Pro/E, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite. - Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present design rationale persuasively to diverse stakeholders. - A deep understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering and high-volume overseas manufacturing processes. - Demonstrated balance between creativity, technical aptitude, and business awareness. - Ability to work independently in a very dynamic and fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to evolving project needs and pivot quickly where required. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%. The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between $113,000 - 165,000/year, plus equity. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits.
