Full Job Description
The Senior Electrical Estimator provides leadership in high-value bid strategy, cost analysis, and project pursuit. This role ensures that electrical estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client and company requirements while mentoring junior estimators and refining estimating best practices.

This role will travel up to 10-15% for job walks and customer relationship maintenance.

What you'll do:

  • Lead estimating efforts complex and high-value electrical construction projects from pre-bid through final submission.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews for all electrical bids to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
  • Lead estimating efforts for complex or high-value electrical construction projects, from pre-bid strategy to final submission.
  • Mentor and train junior estimators, fostering skill development and process consistency.
  • Maintain and grow strategic relationships with electrical contractors, general contractors, engineers, and suppliers.
  • Leverage deep market knowledge and competitive intelligence to position the company for long-term success.
  • Contribute to refining estimating processes, templates, and best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support executive and sales leadership with cost models, risk analyses, and bid/no-bid recommendations.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Construction Management, or related discipline preferred; advanced certifications in estimating or project management preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical estimating, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a history of mentoring junior estimators.
  • Expert-level proficiency in electrical estimating software and the ability to implement process improvements.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, cost structures, and competitive positioning strategies.
  • Specialty in water/wastewater preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak comfortably and confidently with clients.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to self-learn and apply resourcefulness to solve problems.
  • Exercises sound discernment when evaluating information, identifying potential pitfalls, and recommending next steps.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes positively to shared goals and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities, follows through on commitments, and drives tasks to completion.


$120,000 - $150,000 a year

This role offers a commission plan in addition to the base salary. Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person's qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future.
