Job Description

The Sr HR Specialist supports the people and HR execution of large scale organizational transformation initiatives and regular HR Programs within Waters. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to deliver complex change across a global operations footprint.

Based in Milpitas, CA this role requires a strong program leader who can independently drive timelines, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure accountability across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of complex HR programs supporting enterprise initiatives. Own program governance, including project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and execution cadence.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, and business leaders to manage people impacts and execution risks.
  • Interface regularly with business leaders to provide updates, drive alignment, and resolve issues.
  • Proactively hold stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon commitments and deadlines through confident, assertive leadership.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials and presentations communicating progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • Analyze workforce and program data to support informed decision-making and timely course correction.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program effectiveness and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Applies and continuously improves HR transformation and change-management practices within a highly regulated, operations-driven environment.
  • Leads end-to-end new-hire onboarding for the Biosciences and Advanced Diagnostics divisions, ensuring a seamless and compliant employee experience.
  • Manages time-keeping processes, partnering closely with business leaders and Payroll to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Provides ongoing support for site-based activities, partnering cross-functionally to meet operational and employee needs.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred with a focus in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred in HR program management, transformation, or large-scale organizational change.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal required.
  • Experience working in operations-driven, multi-site, global organizations (manufacturing, life sciences, or similar) preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority required.
  • Strong program management and organizational skills with the ability to manage dependencies required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required. Proficiency in PowerPoint preferred.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information required.
