We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team in Whitinsville, MA.
This position supports day-to-day HR operations across the organization, including employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, compliance, employee lifecycle activities, HRIS management, and reporting.
The Senior HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Director, managers, and employees throughout the company and will cross-train on all payroll functions to serve as backup for end-to-end payroll processing.
What You'll DoEmployee Relations & HR Support- Support managers and employees with company policies, attendance, performance documentation, and general HR matters
- Assist with employee relations issues and workplace investigations
- Promote consistent HR practices and positive employee engagement
HR Operations- Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, status changes, and terminations
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and compliance documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and efficiency
Payroll & Benefits- Support payroll administration through Paylocity
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and employee questions
- Cross-train on payroll processes and serve as backup for payroll processing
- Support benefits administration, open enrollment, renewals, and vendor coordination
Compliance- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Assist with HR audits and required reporting
- Support wage and hour, leave administration, and other HR compliance requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
Requirements
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong experience with HR operations, payroll, benefits, and employee relations
- Experience with performance management and workplace investigations
- HRIS/payroll system experience; Paylocity strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, wage and hour regulations, leave administration, and HR compliance
- Experience supporting a multi-location workforce preferred
- Experience with benefits renewals, open enrollment, and vendor management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and HR reporting skills
- Strong communication, organization, judgment, and attention to detail
Salary Description
$85,000 - $95,000
