Senior Human Resource Business Partner: At Lexitas, legal support services thrive with HR partners who build trust, solve problems, and guide compliance.

LOCATION: This role is hybrid, with on-site collaboration at our Houston office located at 13101 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX-easily accessible and conveniently situated for local team engagement and meetings.

PAY RANGE: $98k-100k/yr

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Lexitas is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and managers across the organization. This high-impact role combines strategic HR leadership with operational HR expertise to drive talent management, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and compliance initiatives.

As a senior HR partner, you will collaborate closely with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives while supporting employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation analysis, retention programs, performance management, and leadership development. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, skilled coach, and trusted consultant who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a strategic HR partner and liaison between business leaders, management, and HR functions to support organizational goals and workforce needs.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and training to employees and managers on workplace issues, leadership development, and performance management.
• Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, investigations, and workplace concerns while minimizing organizational risk.
• Analyze HR metrics including turnover, retention, workforce demographics, and employee feedback to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Develop and implement workforce planning and recruitment strategies to meet evolving business needs.
• Manage disability accommodations, leave of absence programs, and reasonable accommodation processes.
• Partner with leadership to improve employee engagement, morale, productivity, and retention.
• Support and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Conduct compliance reviews related to multi-state wage and leave requirements and ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes.
• Assist with EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting activities as needed.
• Communicate HR policy updates and organizational changes effectively across the business.
• Lead and support talent management, succession planning, training initiatives, and leadership development programs.
• Promote and support wellness initiatives and employee experience programs.
• Conduct onboarding activities for new hires as needed.
• Identify organizational training needs and develop solutions to address skill gaps.
• Create and implement innovative HR programs and strategies that support business objectives.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership related to employee relations, retention, engagement, and workforce planning.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy requirements, and applicable employment regulations.
• Assist in training and mentoring HR team members and support special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 15+ years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
• 3-4 years of leadership or managerial experience required.
• Professional HR certification required (PHR or SHRM-CP). SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple business functions and geographically dispersed teams preferred.
• HRIS experience and workforce analytics experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment regulations and compliance requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has supervisory responsibilities and will assist the Senior Human Resources Director with the oversight, coaching, and development of Human Resources Business Partners.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
