Overview

HR Technology Analyst

Reports to: Manager, HR Technology

Compensation: 73k to 90k depending on experience, plus potential bonus

Location: Remote/US

 

Position Summary

The HR Technology Analyst supports the administration, configuration, and continuous optimization of the organization's HR technology ecosystem. This role partners with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Information Technology, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient technology solutions that support the employee lifecycle.

The analyst provides technical expertise across multiple HR applications by supporting system configuration, reporting, integrations, workflow automation, production support, technical testing, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business operations and employee experience.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain HR technology applications, including system configuration, workflows, business rules, security roles, organizational structures, forms, and other application settings.
  • Support the implementation of approved business requirements by configuring HR technology solutions and validating technical functionality.
  • Develop, maintain, and validate reports, dashboards, calculated fields, data extracts, and other reporting solutions to support operational, compliance, and business needs.
  • Support enterprise integrations by monitoring APIs, SFTP file transfers, interfaces, and automated processes while partnering with IT and vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform unit testing, regression testing, configuration validation, and production verification for system enhancements, upgrades, releases, and defect resolution.
  • Partner with business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by providing technical support, troubleshooting system issues, validating configurations, and resolving defects. Business owners are responsible for business process validation and production approval.
  • Troubleshoot production issues through root cause analysis, issue documentation, vendor coordination, and validation of system fixes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration documentation, knowledge articles, test scripts, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in HR technology implementations, upgrades, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Support data integrity, configuration consistency, and established change management processes to ensure reliable system performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of experience supporting enterprise HRIS, HCM, or HR technology platforms.
  • Experience administering enterprise SaaS applications such as Paycom, Workday, UKG, ADP, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar HR technology solutions.
  • Experience configuring workflows, business rules, security roles, forms, organizational structures, and other application settings.
  • Experience supporting software implementations, system enhancements, production support, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, performing data analysis, and validating data integrity.
  • Experience supporting APIs, SFTP file transfers, system integrations, or automated data exchanges.
  • Experience working with reporting, automation, and integration technologies such as Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and SFTP in support of enterprise HR technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and data analysis.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multiple HR technology platforms, including HRIS, Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, Payroll, Benefits, Learning Management, Time & Attendance, or Performance Management systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software implementations, digital transformation initiatives, or HR technology modernization projects.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), change management, release management, and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise technology solutions.
