The OpportunityThe Senior HR Business Analyst plays a key role in shaping how HR data, processes, and systems support business outcomes. Sitting at the intersection of people analytics, process improvement, and technology, this role ensures HR initiatives are data-driven, well-defined, and effectively delivered.
This individual partners closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights, improve HR processes, and guide technology enhancements that drive organizational success.
What You Can Expect to Do in This Role
- Lead HR process improvement initiatives by defining scope, priorities, and success measures
- Review and approve process documentation, including workflows and standard operating procedures
- Ensure process changes are informed by data and aligned with organizational strategy
- Define HR reporting requirements and key performance indicators in partnership with leadership
- Analyze workforce data (e.g., headcount, attrition, compensation, recruiting, engagement) to identify trends and inform decisions
- Deliver accurate, actionable insights to HR leaders and business stakeholders
- Gather and document business requirements for HR systems and technology changes
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs prior to launch
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Manage project scope, timelines, and business approvals across HR initiatives
- Present findings, recommendations, and updates to leadership
- Support compensation analysis and organizational design efforts
To be successful in this role, you will possess
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in HR analytics, HRIS, or business analysis
- Experience owning business requirements and supporting UAT for HR technology projects
- Proficiency in Excel and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS platform
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred experience
- Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile or project management methodologies
- Knowledge of HR compliance frameworks (e.g., FLSA, EEOC, GDPR)
- Exposure to AI tools used in HR environments
- Experience with SQL or Python for data analysis
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or CBAP
