About the roleThe Senior HR Manager owns the day-to-day people operations for our US business and partners closely with our global offices in the UK, Canada, and India. Reporting into leadership, you'll be the go-to person for employee relations, performance, compensation, compliance, and culture. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who can move between strategy and execution, coach managers through hard conversations, and build the HR infrastructure a growing consultancy needs.
What you'll do- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations across the US team, coaching managers and resolving issues with sound judgment and discretion.
- Own the performance management cycle, including goal setting, reviews, calibration, and development planning, and help managers give clear, constructive feedback.
- Manage compensation and benefits administration, including annual reviews, benchmarking, open enrollment, and vendor relationships.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding to ensure every employee has a consistent, thoughtful experience from first day to last.
- Own HR compliance across multiple US states, keeping policies, the employee handbook, and practices current with employment law.
- Partner with our global offices to align people practices, share standards, and support a cohesive company culture across time zones.
- Administer and improve our HRIS and people data, and use reporting to surface trends on retention, engagement, and headcount.
- Support recruiting and staffing initiatives in partnership with hiring managers and talent acquisition.
- Champion culture, engagement, and employee initiatives that keep Codal a place people want to build a career.
What you'll need to be successful (Requirements)- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a consulting, agency, professional services, or technology environment.
- Deep knowledge of US employment law and multi-state HR compliance.
- Demonstrated experience across the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations, performance management, and compensation.
- Strong coaching and communication skills, with the ability to advise managers and leaders and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Experience administering a BambooHR or similar HRIS and using people data to inform decisions.
- Exceptional organization and the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting a global or multi-office workforce / timezones

We continually review ranges to address skills, experience and markets. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include but aren't limited to, a candidate's experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position
Pay range
$115,000-$145,000 USD
