Position Objective

The Senior HR Manager partners with leaders across all ATOMIC profit centers to execute the organization's people strategy by fostering employee development, engagement, operational excellence, and a positive workplace culture.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Culture / One ATOMIC - Every employee plays a role in shaping and sustaining our culture. How we show up and engage matters. Inputs include:

    • Contribute to the development of a safety culture.
    • "Other duties as assigned" is part of our team culture. While we have individual roles and responsibilities, one constant is help and support for each other.
    • The dynamic nature of the live events industry requires flexibility to work overtime, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, as dictated by project schedules and client needs.


  1. Learning & Development
    • Assess learning needs to design, develop, and deliver training programs for employees and leaders across the organization.
    • Create scalable training solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, and AI-supported self-service platforms.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery.
    • Drive process improvements to enhance employee experience, HR efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.


  1. Safety
    • Own workplace safety compliance programs, including training, documentation, and reporting, collaborating with department leaders and outside consultants.
    • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
    • Serve as a resource for employees and managers on safety policies, procedures, and incident response.
    • Oversee all workers' compensation cases, ensuring clear communication towards a positive employee experience.
    • Serve as the HR representative on the Safety Committee.


  1. Employee Integration
    • Partner with the Director of HR to design and continuously improve ATOMIC's employee integration strategy, creating a consistent experience that begins with a positive candidate journey and extends through onboarding into long-term employee success.
    • Serve as the primary HR representative during candidate visits, welcoming, collaborating with hiring managers and operational leaders, and representing ATOMIC's culture throughout the interview process.
    • Collaborate with leaders to support employee engagement, gather feedback, identify opportunities to enhance the integration experience, and align employee learning with organizational goals and career growth opportunities.


  1. HR Operations
    • Lead the HR Operations team to drive continuous improvement across HR processes, leveraging collaboration, technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to increase efficiency, improve employee experience, and ensure scalable, high-quality HR service delivery.
    • Implement and manage HR technology solutions, including HRIS, ATS, and AI-supported self-service tools for benefits, policy, and leadership guidance.
    • Serve as a trusted partner to the Director of HR by providing support in recruitment operations, employee relations, conflict resolution and performance management to ensure consistent, effective people practices.
    • Serve as lead recruiter for shop and warehouse roles.


Organizational Relationships
  • The Senior HR Manager reports to the Director of HR and leads HR Operations team.


Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong HR generalist knowledge; expertise in learning and development, safety, and HR technology preferred.
  • Ability to quickly understand, design, and implement safety and compliance solutions.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and digital tools; experience implementing AI-supported self-service platforms a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; adept at engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive results independently.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to workplace safety, employment law, and training requirements.


Credentials and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification preferred (PHR / SHRM-CP, etc.).
  • 5+ years of HR experience with proven success in learning & development, and HR technology implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs in areas outside of prior technical background, such as safety compliance.
  • Experience in building scalable training and self-service HR solutions.
  • Prior experience in a managerial role.
  • Maintain current passport and if applicable current driver's license / clean driving record.


Physical Requirements

Ability to perform typical office tasks using a computer and phone in a typical office environment.

Work Environment
  • Typical office environment for most of the time.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the year.
