Description

The Senior Human Resource Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) is a seasoned strategic partner who advises and collaborates with business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals and to shape the people agenda across the organization. Based on-site, the Sr. HRBP serves as the senior HR partner and trusted advisor for the plant-providing expert guidance on complex employee relations, engagement, and day-to-day people matters-while also leading and owning a meaningful portion of broader talent management initiatives that reach beyond a single location. This role blends senior-level site HR leadership with a leading role in corporate talent projects spanning talent acquisition, performance, development, and succession, and includes mentoring and coaching less-experienced HR team members. It is well suited to a senior practitioner who wants to expand their enterprise impact beyond plant HR. The Sr. HRBP will work closely with both site and senior corporate leadership to develop and implement HR policies, programs, and practices that enhance employee performance, engagement, and retention.

Strategic Partnership
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide HR solutions that drive business success.
  • Serve as a senior advisor and coach to business leaders on complex HR matters including organizational development, talent management, and employee relations, and mentor less-experienced HR staff.

Talent Management
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans, and coach managers on effective execution.
  • Lead and drive enterprise talent management initiatives such as talent reviews, succession planning, and high-potential development, that extend beyond the site.
  • Partner with the corporate talent team on organization-wide programs in career pathing, learning and development, and leadership capability building.

Employee Relations
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement and addressing issues proactively.

HR Programs and Policies
  • Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures in line with company objectives and legal requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and compliance with company policies.

Organizational Development
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and manage the impact on employees. Identify and address workforce development needs to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.

Data and Analytics
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on HR performance and key trends, and advise on data-driven actions.

Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. Stay current on HR best practices and industry trends to continuously improve HR services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Senior professional certification (e.g., SPHR or SHRM-SCP) is strongly preferred; a Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a senior business partner or strategic HR role, including experience mentoring or guiding other HR staff and supporting multiple sites or business units.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading talent management work beyond a single site-such as succession planning, talent reviews, or enterprise development programs.
