Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Senior Hospital Accountant will be responsible for preparing and posting monthly and yearly journal entries, and maintaining supporting schedules that reconcile to the General Ledger. Other duties include reviewing surveys, responding to staff accountant questions and inquiries from Hospital and Campus departments, as well as external agencies, performing physical inventories and price testing, compiling and reporting on grant activity and performing ad-hoc projects as requested. This role will have an overall understanding of all Hospital Accountant responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in accounting and three years accounting experience required. Knowledge of accounting standards, policies and procedures. Ability to identify issues and propose solutions. Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills as well as familiarity with spreadsheet applications such as Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA preferred. Hospital or healthcare accounting experience preferred.

Work Days:

Monday through Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
