As Hatch continues to grow its presence in Ontario, we are seeking an experienced Senior Highway Engineer to play a key role in delivering some of the region's most impactful transportation infrastructure projects. Based in Mississauga, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of complex highway and roadway projects while helping shape the future of transportation networks across Ontario.

This is an exciting time to join our team. Recently, Hatch was selected by Marten Falls First Nation as its engineering and project management partner for the transformative Marten Falls Community Access Road, a landmark Northern Ontario infrastructure project that will provide year-round access to the community for the first time while supporting economic development, Indigenous partnership, and future regional growth.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on major MTO and municipal transportation projects alongside industry-leading professionals, while mentoring the next generation of engineers and helping grow Hatch's transportation practice in Ontario. Responsibilities:
  • Work with project managers to accomplish various tasks associated with various projects;
  • Preliminary and detailed design of arterial roads, highways, and freeways (alignments, geometrics, staging, utilities, roadside safety);
  • Checking designs, drawings, quantity calculations, contract preparation;
  • Construction inspection and preparation of reports;
  • Mentoring junior design staff.


Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University;
  • 10-15 years' experience with highway and road design;
  • Professional Engineering Designation in Ontario is required;
  • Experience in consulting engineering environment;
  • Experience utilizing Civil 3D and OpenRoads designer is mandatory;
  • Experience working on MTO projects /designs is mandatory;
  • Must have sound knowledge of current engineering principles, methods, and practices;
  • Excellent technical and communication skills are a necessity;
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently


Base salary range: $89,000.00 - $138,000.00
